About Your Trip

Set sail with Captain Rick for an unforgettable day chasing some of the most thrilling pelagic predators the ocean has to offer! Fishing aboard his custom 23’ SeaCraft is not just a trip – it’s an adventure. This sleek and versatile vessel is fully equipped for tackling the high-seas action, complete with top-tier gear like outriggers, live bait wells, and even snorkeling and spearfishing equipment for those looking to dive deeper into the experience. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or brand-new to the sport, Captain Rick’s enthusiasm, expertise, and light-hearted humor will make this trip one to remember.

On this trip, you’ll target an array of hard-fighting and highly prized fish, including Mahi-Mahi, Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo, Kingfish, and Marlin, with the possibility of reeling in the occasional Swordfish weighing up to 350 pounds! If that sounds exhilarating, it’s because it is – especially when you experience the electric surface strikes and heart-pounding runs these fish are famous for. Mahi-Mahi, in particular, will test your skills with their acrobatics and relentless energy, often traveling in large schools that lead to double or even triple hook-ups. Meanwhile, Tuna strike like torpedoes, delivering fights that will leave your arms burning in the best way possible.

Captain Rick offers a variety of trips to suit your schedule and fishing goals. On a 4-hour trip, you’ll head 12-15 miles offshore to target Mahi-Mahi and Tuna, with the chance to hook other species like Sailfish, Wahoo, or even a big Shark. On a 6-hour trip, you’ll venture 15-20 miles out, giving you more time to battle these incredible fish and increase your odds of catching Marlin, Amberjack, or Tripletail. For the ultimate adventure, the 8-hour trip takes you 20-25 miles offshore for a full day of action-packed fishing. No matter the trip length, Captain Rick will do his best to ensure you take home a delicious bag of fresh fish, expertly filleted and ready for the grill – or to be prepared at a local restaurant.

Captain Rick’s trips are tailored for anglers of all skill levels. Beginners will appreciate his patient instruction and guidance, while experienced anglers can count on his in-depth knowledge of fishing techniques, including trolling, live baiting, and even fly fishing. Fun fact: Captain Rick personally holds two IGFA world records on a fly rod, so if you’re looking to land your trophy fish, you’re in the right hands! Families are more than welcome, and Rick encourages women and children to come along for a truly memorable day on the water.

The 23’ SeaCraft isn’t just built for performance; it’s also outfitted with everything you need for a comfortable day offshore. Enjoy amenities like a port-a-potty, GPS and fishfinder technology, and a bow cooler perfect for keeping your drinks chilled. Want to mix things up? Snorkeling and spearfishing gear is also onboard, giving you the chance to explore the underwater world when the fishing slows down.

Captain Rick provides all the gear you’ll need, including rods, reels, tackle, lures, live bait, and even fly-fishing equipment. All you have to bring is your favorite snacks and drinks, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure! Whether you’re chasing the adrenaline rush of a Sailfish strike, hauling in a monster Wahoo, or enjoying the thrill of catching your first Mahi-Mahi, Captain Rick will make sure it’s an experience you’ll never forget.
