About Your Trip

You will be fishing the famous Everglades Ten Thousand Islands with an experienced guide that grew up on these waters. We fish near shore, in the Islands and up into the vast back country of Everglades National Park. These pristine waters hold an abundance of Snook, Redfish, Tarpon and Seatrout.
The best way to cover the Everglades area that we fish is an 8 hour trip. This allows us to run as many as 35
miles in one direction to chase the Tarpon and Snook that move around these waters. We fish from Chokoloskee Bay all the way south to Shark River and all the back waters in these areas. We use a variety of techniques to catch these fish. Artificial lures and jigs, live bait, and even some fly fishing. The time of year you book will dictate where we take you as these fish all change patterns depending on water temperatures, tides, winds and even rainfall. So, it is important to fish with an experienced guide that has this knowledge.
We are not just your average take a tourist fishing experience. We work hard to target those trophy fish that everyone wants. I have built my reputation on catching big Snook and that is what I try to do for every client that wants a big fish. We pride ourselves on this and work to make it happen.
That being said we love to work with novice anglers also. There are many days I teach people how to properly cast and get the most out of their day. My goal is that you will want to return and do this again, so I try to help you improve a little more each time. Every day is a good day fishing here in the Everglades National Park.

Independent Guide
Hey, I'm Captain Mike. I operate out of my private dock in Everglades City, Florida. I grew up in Everglades City and caught my first Snook as an 8 yr old. I have been catching them ever since. I started out taking friends fishing and the natural progression was to become a professional fishing guide. I started guiding over 30 years ago. I fish out of a 22 ft. Pathfinder. I have mentored another young Captain that also fishes out of a 22 ft. Pathfinder and most recently my son is joining me and will also fish out of a 22 ft. Pathfinder. So we can accommodate large groups and corporate trips. We utilize artificial lures and live bait both. We also accommodate clients that want to bring their fly fishing gear. When I am not fishing here in Everglades National Park, I am guiding clients in the Amazon area of Brazil. You can expect 50 years of experience when fishing with us which helps to insure that you have a chance at the big ones. We work hard to put you on the fish and never sit still when it's not happening.
