About Your Trip

Climb aboard Captain Ray’s 20’ SeaCraft for a personalized inshore adventure tailored for up to two anglers. This vessel is all about versatility—equally comfortable navigating skinny water in less than three feet as it is handling the occasional New England chop. Whether you’re fly casting to cruising stripers or working light tackle around structure, this boat is built to get you where the fish are, fast and efficiently.

Fishing primarily in the sheltered waters of
Buzzards Bay and around the Elizabeth Islands, Captain Ray’s trips focus on light tackle and fly fishing for species like striped bass, bluefish, false albacore, and bonito. These waters offer a mix of flats, rips, and rocky shoreline—ideal habitat for targeting fish with precision. When the fish are in shallow, sight-casting opportunities make for exciting, visual strikes that can get your heart pounding.

Depending on the season and conditions, you can also explore deeper spots for bottom fish like black sea bass, scup, fluke, and the occasional cod. These trips offer a change of pace and a great way to put some quality fillets in the cooler.

The 20’ SeaCraft is the perfect platform for this style of fishing—nimble, quick, and built for shallow water access. With only two anglers on board, you’ll have plenty of room to cast and move freely, making it a great choice for fly anglers or anyone looking for a more focused, one-on-one fishing experience.

Half and full-day trips are available from April through November, depending on the weather and seasonal patterns. All trips include high-quality rods, reels, light tackle, live bait, lures, and fly gear if requested. Captain Ray will also take care of your fishing license and clean your catch at the end of the day.

If you're looking for a dialed-in, small-group experience exploring some of the most productive inshore waters in southern New England, this trip with Captain Ray is a solid choice.
