About Your Trip

Head out with Captain Scott for a five-hour inshore adventure on some of the most productive fishing grounds on the northern East Coast. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, this trip puts you right in the heart of legendary waters loaded with trophy-sized Striped Bass, aggressive Bluefish, and the area’s unsung hero—Flounder. With decades of local experience and a passion for putting clients on fish, Captain Scott and his crew are ready to show you just how good Boston fishing can be.

These inshore waters are teeming with life, and the fish here are big—really big. From the tidal rips near the harbor islands to the rocky drop-offs around Cape Ann, every stretch of water holds opportunity. Striped Bass and Bluefish in this area are among the largest found anywhere between Gloucester and the Cape, and when the Flounder bite is on, it's easy to see why Boston is often called the Flounder Capital of the World.

You'll be fishing aboard a 29’ Dyer pilothouse, powered by a 315 HP Yanmar engine. This classic, sturdy vessel cruises at 20 knots, getting you to the action quickly and keeping you comfortable with amenities like a private toilet, a bed, GPS, outriggers, radar, live bait well, and an ice box for your catch. The boat is designed for efficiency and comfort, making it perfect for families, first-timers, or experienced anglers looking to target the biggest fish inshore.

Captain Scott plans his trips around the tide cycles to give you the best shot at hooking up. You’ll use light tackle for most of the action, and depending on the bite and season, techniques include trolling, drifting, anchoring, or fishing with live bait. The crew uses circle hooks to help protect the fishery, ensuring a responsible and sustainable approach to fishing.

All gear is included—rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait—as well as your fishing license for the day. The crew will also clean and fillet your catch, so all you need to bring is a big cooler for the ride home and some gratuity for the hard-working first mate, who works for tips.

With great gear, dialed-in local knowledge, and a fishery that consistently produces big results, a day on the water with Captain Scott is more than just a fishing trip—it’s the kind of experience that keeps anglers coming back year after year. Just check out the photos of past guests—those smiles say it all.
