About Your Trip

For anglers looking to battle big game species in the deep blue, this 8-hour offshore adventure is your shot at chasing Bluefin Tuna and Sharks off the coast of Massachusetts. Running from June 1 through November 15, this full-day trip departs at 5:00 AM and is built for serious fishing and serious thrills.

You’ll head out early aboard Captain Scott’s 29’ Dyer pilothouse, cruising past whales and dolphins as you make your way to the
offshore fishing grounds. Along the way, you’ll be scanning for surface activity—Tuna feeding on sand eels, herring, or mackerel—and dialing in on the conditions that point to a productive bite.

Once on the grounds, the trip shifts into high gear. Tuna fishing is fast-paced and visual, with birds working bait balls and explosive surface strikes. For Sharks, the approach is more tactical—setting up a chum slick and drifting baits staggered at multiple depths to draw in Mako, Thresher, and Blue Sharks. It’s a waiting game, but when the rod goes off, get ready for a fight.

Captain Scott supplies all the rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait, along with your fishing license for the day. The boat is outfitted with everything you need for a full offshore run, including GPS, radar, outriggers, live bait well, fishfinder, toilet, and a bed for a quick rest between bites. At the end of the trip, the crew will clean and fillet your catch, so it’s ready to take home.

This trip is priced for up to 4 anglers, ensuring plenty of space and personal attention for each guest. The first mate works hard throughout the day—rigging, baiting, and assisting—so don’t forget to bring cash for a well-earned tip (typically 15–20%).

If you’re looking for an offshore experience that combines the raw power of Tuna with the thrill of Shark fishing, this full-day trip delivers. Come prepared for an early start, high-energy action, and a chance at the kind of fish stories you’ll be telling for years.
