About Your Trip

Set out for a half-day adventure with Captain Mike and discover the thrill of fishing the bay, rivers, and nearshore wrecks like a local. With years of hands-on experience and an easygoing, expert approach, Captain Mike delivers a personalized charter that's all about creating a great day on the water—without the crowds of a party-style trip. Whether you're a seasoned angler chasing big bites or a family looking to introduce the kids to the joys of fishing, Captain Mike has you covered.

Your journey begins aboard a 22' Seaswirl walkaround, a versatile and comfortable boat outfitted with everything you need for success. With room for up to four passengers, this vessel strikes the perfect balance between space and maneuverability. Two built-in ice boxes keep your drinks and catch fresh throughout the trip, and your gear is completely covered with quality rods, reels, and bait all provided by the Captain. There’s even bottled water on board, and you’re welcome to bring along additional drinks and snacks. Just avoid glass bottles, and remember—alcohol is fine in moderation.

Captain Mike welcomes kids with open arms, and he’s happy to tailor the trip to suit younger anglers. With child-sized life jackets on board and plenty of kid-friendly fish to target, this is the perfect chance to help your little ones land their first catch and create memories they won’t forget. The focus is on fun, safe, and productive fishing, with plenty of action to keep everyone engaged.

Over the course of four exciting hours, you’ll explore a range of productive fishing grounds using techniques like bottom fishing, light tackle casting, jigging, trolling, and spinning. The bay and river systems offer excellent opportunities to hook into species like Striped Bass, Bluefish, Flounder, Tautog, and Scup (also known as Porgy). Whether you're drifting over a wreck or working the shoreline with lures, there's no shortage of ways to get hooked up.

Best of all, your fishing license is included in the trip, so you can hit the water without a worry. Just be aware that some fish may have seasonal restrictions or special rules—Captain Mike will walk you through everything to make sure your trip is both fun and compliant.

With start times at 6 am, 11 am, and 5 pm, it’s easy to fit this trip into your day. So grab your sunblock (non-spray preferred), sunglasses, and a light jacket for those early starts, and get ready for an incredible day of rod-bending action with Captain Mike. Whether it’s your first cast or your hundredth, this is a trip built for memories—and fish stories worth retelling.
