About Your Trip

If you're looking for an unforgettable fishing adventure, Captain David’s 6-hour Block Island trip delivers big-time. Running seasonally from June 10 to October 15, this trip takes you to the productive waters around Block Island—one of the top destinations in the region for targeting hard-fighting game fish.

Striped Bass commonly frequent Block Island in the 30 to 50-pound class, and this trip gives you the chance to battle one of these powerful fish in their
summer stronghold. You can focus the trip on Stripers or go for a combo adventure that includes bottom fishing for Black Seabass, Fluke, and Scup (Porgy)—a great way to fill the cooler and enjoy a variety of action.

Captain David uses a mix of jigging, popping, trolling, and drift fishing to dial in what the fish are biting. No matter your skill level, he’ll make sure the trip is fun, educational, and full of opportunities to bend the rod.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 38’ Libby, powered by a 450 HP Cummins engine and fully equipped with CHIRP sonar, GPS, radar, and everything else needed to find the fish and stay comfortable. The boat also features a clean marine toilet, a live bait well, and an ice box to keep your catch fresh.

With over 20 years of experience running Rhode Island charters—and a lifetime of commercial fishing under his belt—Captain David brings deep knowledge and unmatched passion to every trip. His goal is simple: give every group a safe, action-packed day on the water.

Trips depart at 5:30 AM or 1:00 PM, and can be extended to 8 hours if you want extra time on the bite. All gear, tackle, lures, and fishing licenses are included, and your crew will clean and bag your catch at the end of the trip.

Whether you’re after a trophy Striper or looking to stack up some tasty bottom fish, this Block Island trip is a top-tier experience from start to finish.
