This seasonal nearshore trip (running from July 1 through September 1) is the perfect way to experience the area’s most productive fisheries—and the best part? Captain David will choose the hottest fishing spots based on the latest conditions to make sure your day on the water is filled with rod-bending action.

Most trips focus on bottom fishing over nearshore reefs and wrecks for tasty local favorites like Black Seabass, Scup (Porgy), and Fluke—three of the most fun and rewarding species to catch in the region. These waters are teeming with life in the summer, and whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned angler, this trip delivers plenty of excitement with light tackle, jigging, spinning, trolling, and drift fishing options available to match the day’s bite.

Captain David’s 38’ Libby is a serious fishing machine, powered by a 450 HP Cummins engine and decked out with advanced electronics including GPS, radar, and fish-finding CHIRP sonar to put you right on top of the fish. The vessel also features a clean marine toilet, comfortable cabin, live bait well, outriggers, spearfishing gear, and an ice box to keep your drinks cold and your catch fresh.

With over 20 years of charter experience—and a lifetime of commercial fishing and competitive freediving under his belt—Captain David knows these waters like the back of his hand. He’s even a US National Spearfishing Champion and the world record holder for both speargun and pole-speared Striped Bass. When you're fishing with Captain David, you’re in expert hands.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
