About Your Trip

Join Captain Gerry for a 10-hour offshore full-day trip chasing some of the most sought-after pelagic species off the Southern California coast. This extended adventure is built for anglers looking to go the distance in pursuit of serious gamefish, with the chance to hook into Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, and potential encounters with Mahi Mahi (Dorado) and Yellowtail, depending on the season and conditions.

This offshore trip is all about covering ground and maximizing your
chances at a bite. Captain Gerry will put a range of techniques to work, including trolling, popping, deep sea fishing, light tackle, and heavy tackle setups — all tailored to the conditions and your fishing goals for the day. Whether you’re chasing surface-feeding Tuna or working deep for a strike, you’ll have the gear and guidance to get the job done.

You’ll make the run offshore aboard Captain Gerry’s powerful and comfortable boat, designed to handle open ocean waters efficiently while keeping you comfortable throughout the trip. The boat is outfitted with Lowrance GPS and Fishfinder, a live bait well (bait is available for an additional $35), wireless trolling motor, and an ice box for your drinks and catch. Inside, there’s cold water provided, and plenty of space to store your snacks or meals in a soft cooler.

Captain Gerry provides all the rods, reels, tackle, and lures, with top-of-the-line Daiwa setups ready for everything from precision light tackle work to heavy-duty offshore action. While bait and catch cleaning services aren’t included in the trip price, he and his crew are committed to making your day productive and enjoyable from start to finish.

Fishing licenses are required for everyone 16 and older — a one- or two-day California license is perfect for this trip and does not require an Ocean Enhancement Stamp. Be sure to purchase your license in advance and bring it with you, as Captain Gerry will need to verify it before departure.

If you're looking to go big and chase high-speed, hard-fighting offshore species with a captain who knows how to find them, this full-day trip is built for you. Bring your food, grab your license, and get ready to run offshore and hunt some of the Pacific’s most exciting fish.
