About Your Trip

Step aboard with Captain Steve for a full-day offshore wreck fishing adventure that blends deep sea excitement with top-tier comfort. Departing the dock at 4:30 AM and returning between 1:00 and 2:00 PM, this trip is designed for anglers who want to make the most of their time on the water and go after serious offshore species.

You'll be fishing from a 48’ Ocean Yacht sportfishing boat built for both performance and comfort. Outfitted with
outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and top-end electronics like GPS, radar, and a fishfinder, this vessel is more than ready for the offshore grind. But it's not all about the gear—this boat also features two full bathrooms with showers, air conditioning, a full kitchen, refrigerator, bed, flybridge, and multimedia system to make long days offshore as enjoyable as they are productive.

Once you’re offshore, you’ll target a wide range of fish including Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin and Skipjack Tuna, Wahoo, Little Tunny, Atlantic Mackerel, and Bluefish. Fishing techniques will vary depending on conditions and the bite but can include bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, spinning, drifting, and both light and heavy tackle approaches. The crew provides all rods, reels, and lures, and they’re fully licensed to fish offshore species like Tuna, Wahoo, and Marlin. You can expect guidance and help from a first mate—and often a second mate—throughout the trip. While tipping is entirely up to you, a 15–20% gratuity is typical if you're happy with the service.

This trip is great for serious anglers, but it's also a solid option for families looking to get out on the water together. Kids are absolutely welcome, and life jackets are required, so be sure to check with Captain Steve ahead of time to confirm they have the right sizes for your crew. Snacks and drinks are always a good idea, especially to keep younger anglers going strong throughout the day.

All you need to bring is sunscreen (non-spray is preferred), sunglasses, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, and plenty of water and food for the day. Alcohol is welcome in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

Captain Steve’s offshore wreck trips are the real deal. From chasing tuna and Mahi in blue water to dropping down on wrecks for Wahoo and Mackerel, it’s a full day of serious fishing with a crew that knows how to make it both productive and comfortable.
