About Your Trip

If you’re looking for a full-day offshore adventure that pushes out to the deep in search of serious pelagic action, Captain Steve’s 12-hour offshore trip is the one to book. Departing the dock at 4:30 AM and returning between 4:30 and 5:00 PM, this trip gives you the time and range to chase some of the Atlantic’s most sought-after game fish across inshore, offshore, and wreck zones.

You’ll be fishing from a powerful 48’ Ocean
Yacht sportfisher that blends offshore muscle with plenty of comfort for the long haul. This boat is fully rigged with outriggers, downriggers, GPS, radar, fishfinder, a fighting chair, and all the equipment you need to go the distance. Onboard amenities include air conditioning, two full bathrooms with showers, a full kitchen, refrigerator, flybridge, bed, and multimedia system—everything you need to stay comfortable during an extended day on the water.

This trip offers a dynamic mix of fishing styles depending on where the bite is best. You might spend part of the day trolling for Blue and White Marlin or Wahoo in deep water, then shift to jigging or bottom fishing over offshore structure for Tilefish or Bigeye Tuna. Drift fishing and spinning gear are also in play for species like Mahi Mahi and False Albacore, while heavy tackle is brought out when it's time to go after Yellowfin, Swordfish, or the bigger pelagics. From light tackle battles to big-game hookups, it’s a trip that has something for every angler.

Over the course of the day, you could hook into Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin, Bigeye, and Skipjack Tuna, Swordfish, Blue or White Marlin, Wahoo, False Albacore, Bluefish, Tilefish, and Atlantic Mackerel. With such a wide range of target species and fishing styles, no two trips are the same. Captain Steve and his experienced mates will work hard to put you in the right place at the right time and walk you through every step, whether it’s your first offshore trip or your fiftieth.

All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are included, and the boat carries full licensing for every offshore species you'll be targeting—so there’s nothing you need to worry about besides showing up and getting ready to fish. The crew typically includes both a first and second mate to assist throughout the day. Tipping is always at the guest’s discretion, but 15–20% is customary to show appreciation for their effort and service.

Kids are welcome on board, and this extended trip can be a great introduction to offshore fishing for families ready for a big day. Be sure to check with the captain in advance about availability of appropriately sized life vests for younger anglers. Pack plenty of food, snacks, and drinks to keep everyone energized, and don’t forget sunscreen (non-spray preferred), sunglasses, and layered clothing for changing conditions throughout the day. Moderate alcohol is allowed, but please leave hard liquor and glass bottles at home.

With all-day access to inshore, wreck, and bluewater fishing grounds, this 12-hour offshore trip is built for anglers who want to cover serious ground and take a shot at the biggest fish the Atlantic has to offer. Captain Steve and his crew will make sure you’re set up with everything you need for a safe, exciting, and productive day offshore.
