About Your Trip

Join Captain Garrett for a private freshwater fishing adventure on the scenic lakes and winding creeks around Ridgeland, Mississippi. With both 4-hour and 6-hour options available, you can choose the trip that best fits your schedule—whether you're after a peaceful morning getaway or a full-on fishing session packed with action and learning.

Both trips focus on targeting Largemouth Bass and Crappie using light tackle techniques that are easy to learn yet rewarding for anglers of
all skill levels. These waters are home to some of Mississippi’s best freshwater fishing, and Captain Garrett’s deep local knowledge means you’ll be casting in the right spots from the start. Whether you're chasing the powerful fight of a Bass or the subtle challenge of a Crappie bite, you’re in for a great time on the water.

For the 4-hour trip, you'll start bright and early at 7:00 AM. This shorter option is perfect for those who want to enjoy a calm and productive morning on the lake. It’s a great choice for families, beginners, or anyone looking to experience Mississippi fishing without committing the whole day. If you’re looking for a more immersive experience, the 6-hour trip starts at 7:30 AM and gives you more time to explore additional locations and techniques. With extended time on the water, you’ll be able to fine-tune your approach and enjoy even more opportunities to hook into quality fish.

Captain Garrett runs his trips aboard a 20-foot Nitro bass boat powered by a 250HP Mercury engine. Outfitted with cutting-edge live scope and active target technology, the boat offers a high-tech edge that helps you see fish in real time and maximize your chances of success. You’ll be fishing in well-known hotspots like Ross R Barnett Reservoir, as well as lesser-known gems along the Pearl River, Strong River, and nearby creeks like Indian and Quinn. Every trip is customized based on conditions and your personal preferences, ensuring the best experience possible.

All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, so there’s no need to bring your own gear. Just come prepared with comfortable clothing, sunscreen, and any snacks or drinks you’d like for the day. Whether it’s your first time fishing or your hundredth, Captain Garrett is committed to delivering a fun, educational, and rewarding day on the water.
