About Your Trip

Get ready to chase down some Texas Gulf Coast legends with Captain Robert out of Texas City! Whether you're a seasoned angler or new to the game, Captain Robert is here to put you on the fish and make sure you’re having a blast while doing it. With a passion for the sport and deep knowledge of the local waters, Captain Robert specializes in drift fishing across Galveston Bay’s prime fishing grounds—so you’ll be right where the action is.

You’ll head out aboard Captain Robert’s 22’ Mako center console, a reliable and maneuverable boat that’s perfect for working the flats, channels, and bay systems around Texas City. Outfitted with GPS, a fishfinder, and a live bait well, this vessel is built for comfort and performance. With space for up to four anglers, it’s ideal for small groups or families looking to enjoy a day on the water together.

Depending on the season and conditions, you’ll be targeting a stellar lineup of inshore favorites. On the 4-hour trip, expect fast-paced action with Redfish, Flounder, and Spotted Seatrout—three of the Gulf Coast’s tastiest and most exciting inshore game fish. Want to fish longer and explore more territory? Book the 6-hour option for a deeper dive into the bay system. Along with the core trio, you'll also have a shot at Black Drum, Sheepshead, Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, and Whiting—a great mix of hard fighters and crowd-pleasers.

Captain Robert will provide all rods, reels, tackle, and lures to get you dialed in. If you opt to fish with live bait (which can really fire up the bite), just be prepared to cover the cost separately. Once you’ve landed your limit, Captain Robert will clean and fillet your catch so it’s ready to hit the grill or the fryer.

All you need to bring is a valid Texas fishing license, your favorite drinks and snacks, and anything you’ll need to stay sun-safe—think hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Kids are welcome aboard too, so feel free to make it a full-on family adventure!

Whether you’re in it for the fight, the food, or just a fun day on the bay, Captain Robert is ready to make it happen. Come experience what Texas City fishing is all about!
