About Your Trip

Ready for a full day of fishing and exploring the marshes and bays around the Bolivar Peninsula? Join Captain Chris for an 8-hour inshore adventure through East Galveston Bay, where shallow waters, light tackle, and local know-how come together for an unforgettable experience on the Texas coast.

You'll fish aboard an 18’ Gulf Coast Classic—perfectly designed for navigating the flats, marsh channels, and shell reefs where redfish, speckled trout, flounder, and black drum thrive. With
space for up to three anglers, this trip is ideal for friends, families, or anyone looking for a personalized, action-packed day on the water.

Expect to use a mix of techniques including jigging, popping, and drift fishing, depending on the conditions and what the fish are chasing that day. Your trip includes rods, reels, and artificial lures, but if you'd like to use live or cut bait, it's available for purchase at the nearby bait shop before launch. Captain Chris will be happy to help you choose the right bait for your target species.

Throughout the day, you might find yourself sight casting to redfish tailing in the marsh, drifting over oyster reefs for speckled trout, or working structure for a flounder or sheepshead. There's even a chance of hooking into an alligator gar if you're feeling adventurous.

When it’s time to take a break, you’ll head back to fish camp for a complimentary BBQ lunch—plenty of time to relax, recharge, and swap a few fish stories before heading back out. Light snacks and drinks are also provided on board to keep you going throughout the day.

This trip is family-friendly, and kids are more than welcome! Just bring child-sized life vests if needed, along with sunblock, a hat, sunglasses, and a valid Texas fishing license for each member of your group.

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just looking to enjoy a laid-back day on the water, this trip with Captain Chris offers a full day of fish, fun, and classic Gulf Coast adventure.
