About Your Trip

Looking for a serious offshore adventure off the Texas coast? Captain Jerry’s 6- to 7-hour state water trips out of South Padre Island or Port Mansfield, TX are the perfect way to experience hard-hitting Gulf action with a guide who knows how to get it done. Captain Jerry is flexible on launch location and will work with you to plan the best trip based on your preferences and the bite.

You’ll be fishing from a
32’ Angler center console that’s fully outfitted for offshore success. With room for up to 6 anglers, this vessel features a private enclosed toilet, GPS, Fishfinder, outriggers, Xtreme live bait tanks, a multimedia sound system, and a large ice chest to keep your catch cold and ready for the ride home.

Throughout the trip, you’ll target a range of prized species depending on the season and conditions. These can include Red Snapper (when in season), King Mackerel, Black Grouper, Shark, Cobia, Amberjack, and Barracuda. Whether you’re bottom fishing over structure, drifting with live bait, jigging reefs, or trolling for pelagics, Captain Jerry will customize the approach to keep rods bent and adrenaline pumping.

Your trip includes all rods, reels, tackle, and lures, and the live bait is kept in peak condition using top-tier tanks. A skilled first mate will be on board to assist throughout the trip—from rigging lines and handling fish to cleaning and filleting your catch at the dock. While not mandatory, tips are greatly appreciated for a job well done.

You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during your trip—just make sure to purchase a valid Texas fishing license before your day on the water, as it’s not included.

Bring your favorite drinks, snacks, and even a few cold beers to enjoy between bites. With Captain Jerry at the helm and a full day of fishing ahead, you’re in for an exciting, hands-on offshore experience that delivers both action and memories—no matter which launch point you choose.

Jerry was on time and ready to go. He asked what we wanted to accomplish on the trip, was friendly, funny, and very professional. We caught a limit in two and half hours with the largest red fish 29 1/2 inches. This guy knows what he is doing and does it well.
