About Your Trip

For anglers ready to push farther, fish deeper, and chase bigger game, Captain Paul’s 12-hour Blue Water Adventure is the trip of a lifetime. On this deep-sea run, you’ll travel up to 100 miles offshore into the Gulf’s cobalt-blue waters, where the fish are big, the fights are fierce, and the possibilities are endless.

Your main targets will be big Red Snapper, Amberjack, Grouper, and Tilefish when in season, but out here there are no
boundaries—migrating pelagics and surprise catches are always in play. Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Vermilion Snapper, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Kingfish, Blackfin Tuna, Tripletail, and even the occasional Blacktip Shark. With the right conditions, you could be battling multiple species in a single trip.

You’ll be fishing from Captain Paul’s powerful and fully updated 36’ Contender, equipped with triple Yamaha 300s for speed, top-of-the-line navigation and fish-finding technology, and all required offshore safety gear. Heavy-duty rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait (when available) are all included. The trip will be supported by an experienced first mate, who will help with baiting hooks, rigging lines, gaffing fish, and cleaning your catch at the dock. It’s customary to tip the mate 15–20% for their hard work.

Techniques on this trip may include deep dropping, trolling, drifting, and jigging, with Captain Paul adjusting the game plan to the season, conditions, and what’s biting best. Along the way, you’ll fish deep reefs, ledges, oil rigs, and open-water hot spots known for holding some of the Gulf’s most prized game fish.

With 12 full hours to fish, you’ll have the time and range to truly explore offshore waters and take your shot at trophy-sized catches. For anglers who want it all—big fish, blue water, and an unforgettable day at sea—this is the trip that checks every box.
