Fishing around Pine Island/Matlacha/Sanibel has been heating up with these slightly cooler temperatures as we transition into fall. The delayed rainy season can make dialing in conditions on the water a little tricky but with the right tide and some sun you can definitely find the fish.

Schools of redfish have been popping up all over the sound, as well as jacks and the snook are coming back in to head to their winter haunts so sight fishing them in skinny water is a blast right now.

The fishing has been great the past few weeks! The water is cooling and the fish are chewing. Now is a great time to cast a line and make some memories. The redfish are eating shrimp tipped jig heads or shrimp under floats along oyster bars and mangrove islands. We are also picking up plenty of mangrove snapper with this set-up.

The fall bite is starting to heat up on the flats. Redfish trout and snook are in and fishing has been on fire. Shark charters are also starting to pick back up as the water cools off a little bit as the fall comes in.

We have officially entered our fall bite season, redfish have started to school up and the migratory and river tarpon are in the harbor and they are biting! We have been catching many tarpon over 150lbs. The juvenile tarpon bite has been excellent with some beautiful snook mixed in too, come on down to Florida and make some fishing memories that will last forever

Fishing Report for September has been fantastic!

The water temperatures have been starting to cool, ever so slightly, the bait is all over the beaches, and the fish in the back country are responding with vigorous appetites! The afternoon rains that have been very consistent have fired up the tarpon bite, and pushed those fun size tarpon down from the remote, tree covered creeks, into waters we can get baits to em!

If you want a snook, we are catching 20-30 each trip...mostly small, in the 20-24 inch size, with big slot sized chunks mixed in. That's non stop action...

on light tackle, and pilchards that even ol veteran guides love to spend a morning or afternoon bending some rods and ripping some lips!

Mixed in with those snook are countless mangrove snappers. These delicious fighters can add up quickly for anyone in the mood to eat what they catch.

Redfish are certainly eating, and the cooler waters have them ready to chase live bait again, as are some really nice spotted seatrout.

The funsized tarpon are my favorite fish to catch this time of year. Catching 20 to 30 pound fish, tail walking, jumping 4 feet in the air, and just being a light tackle menace is what it's all about!

Don't forget, in another 8 days, snook will be in season to keep, and there isn't a better fish to eat in all of Florida, so don't hesitate to call or book a trip if you want to get out on the water for a morning or afternoon of non stop fishing action, along with the chance for a trophy, or some flat out excellent table fare. All within minutes of the boat ramp!

We had an absolute blast fishing with Captain Ty! He put us on an incredible variety of fish, including Goliath grouper, shark, snook, and ladyfish. 🎣 Captain Ty worked incredibly hard the entire trip. He never gave up and did everything he could to put us on fish and keep us on them. His knowledge, effort, and determination made the trip an experience we won’t forget. If you’re looking for a great fishing charter, I highly recommend Captain Ty. We had an amazing time, and I will definitely be back and booking another trip with him! Thanks again, Captain Ty, for an awesome day on the water! 🤙🎣

Captain Chris was amazing! He provided great communication before our iguana hunting trip and during. Captain Chris was great with his instructions for our 10-year old and 8-year old. He was also very considerate and had a great approach to dealing with kids. We saw quite a few iguanas, shot quite a few, and recovered quite a bit. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd highly recommend Captain Chris! Very knowledgeable and experienced!

Absolutely a blast. Great group, great coordination, and a genuinely fun evening from start to finish. It took some getting used to at first, since you basically have to identify the animals by color alone, but once you get the hang of it, it clicks fast and makes the whole thing even more interesting. Everything was well organized and the communication was spot on. I would do this again anytime. Highly recommended!
