The red fish bite is still good despite them being spread out a little in the creeks and flats. Most are staging in the inlets for the mullet run and spawning.
Flounder and drum bite is still good. Look for both in creek corners and creek mouths for the flounder.
The water temperature will start to drop in the next few weeks so we can expect to start seeing some triple tail more often and the trout bite will get better.
We’re also picking up snook in residential canals and creeks on the falling tide.

Reds are starting to run good now. Mullet run is beginning. Still picking up a few good flounder and a few good snook. All in all a good bite right now

Fishing has been pretty good lately!! Lots of Vermilion snapper and triggerfish biting near the bottom and a good number of Kingfish, Sailfish, Cobia, Cudas, and more trolling near shore!! Also the mutton snapper and African pompano out in 130ft

The redfish bite is still steady. They are moving into the inlets to spawn as the mullet are coming in. Flounder bite is still good and the tarpon are on the beach. Target the pogy pods on or near the beach with live finger mullet. Also lady fish, blues and bonita mixed in.

Legal size redfish are spotty but still in good numbers. With the shrimp run ramping up, it can be a little testy getting a consistent bite. But flounder are starting to show in great numbers- fish are still on the smaller side but great action.
Tarpon fishing continues to be red hot in northeast Florida with fish ranging from 40 to 100 lbs.
Bull reds are showing in good numbers in the St Johns river as well with the average fish in the 40in range!

The bite has been good early and late. Summer time pattern so get out early or late afternoon just before dark. Coordinate with the tides. Outgoing early and incoming late is best for reds and trout. It's a new moon so the tides will be strong. We've been experiencing low low tides the last few weeks with a west to south west wind that's pushing the water out. Hit the creeks and flats early in the falling tide and you should do well on the reds, drum and flounder.

Shrimp are still the bait of choice but the mullet run will kick off in the next few weeks so expect a shift in baits. Black drum, flounder and trout can be found in deep corners along the creek bends with a strong current on jigheads or circle hooks with a small splitshot .
