Cold air! South Florida gets another cold blast, water temperatures dropped and the winds prevailed. Winter time fishing is full of ups and downs in the Palm Beaches. Slow down and stay persistent, you will catch fish.
Backwater fishing for snook always great areas to locate fish as water temperatures are typically warmer. Mangrove shorelines, muddy bottoms snook flock to these zones, live baits, small jigs and twitch baits all tactics to get the strike. Anglers can also target sea walls, docks and bridges working the bottom thoroughly with jigs and live baits dropped to the bottom.

Inlets and channels
are holding tarpon on both sides of the tides. Live baits and jigs entice the tarpon to strike. Cleaner water on the high tide causes the tarpon to be finicky at times. Juvenile tarpon prevalent in the backwaters along mangrove shorelines, strike live baits and twitch baits worked slow near pot holes drop offs.
Flats, rock piles, and inshore wrecks great areas to target snapper, jacks, blue runners, drum and many other species. Shrimp and jigs both create rod bending action for anglers.
Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!

Superb weather the past week made for great days on water. Plenty of sunshine and moderate wind days anglers enjoyed sunshine and rod bending action.
Channels and backwaters held plenty of tarpon, the bigger Tarpon finicky at times allowed anglers to witness tarpon temperament. Primarily due to the full moon the bite was hit and miss but the juvenile tarpon do have the same mind set as bigger fish at times, they like to eat if baits is around. Live baits and Rapala twitch baits.

snappers, also striking baits, creating rod bending action for anglers.
Tarpon fishing was great before the front, as the front pushed through the tarpon locked down in deep cuts and channels. Once in a while, you would get a strike using a live shrimp or a Doa Terror Eyz.
Well that is a fishing report for the past week. Hope you all enjoyed. Remember you cannot catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!

Big schools of jacks have shown up and they are hungry. Top water Rapala skitter walks have been the anglers favorite choice bait for
explosive action. DOA C.A.L. 3" shad tail and live baits also get the strike. The jacks are ranging in size from 2 to 20 pounds.
Channels and deep holes are holding a plethora of species for anglers to hook up with. Mackerel, snook, snapper, drum, blue fish and sharks get the drag screaming. The clean water has made it fun for anglers witnessing the strike from the fish. Does not get any better. As the water temperatures drop the fishing will continue to thrive as migratory species call our local waters home, for the next few months.
Well that is the fishing report for the past week. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines.

Unfortunately the Everglades had up to 3 inches of rain the night before, therefore the fishing was not good. He then hooked us up with Greg Hutch and we salt water fished the following morning. Had fun with both, just better fishing in the ocean.
