Let the mullet run madness begin! The swell last week pushed the first wave of mullet into the palm beaches. Only downfall has been the rain runoff which has made the water dirty.
The intercostal, beaches, and inlets are full of bait schools and the snook are there crashing and
feeding on these baits. Find the bait schools and use live baits on jig heads or free-lined to get the strike. Rapala skitter walks and DOA BaitBusters are also great baits to entice the linesiders.
Tarpon! favorite beast to target, can be seen exploding on bait schools along the beaches and inside the intercostal. Both sides of the tides tarpon are chewing. Find bait schools and fish the perimeter with live baits or DOA BaitBuster for success. Smaller tarpon can be targeted along mangrove shorelines using live baits, DOA 4" jerk baits and popper flies.
The big jacks are starting to invade the intercostal, busting up mullet pods with a vengeance. Rapala skitter walks DOA PT-7 weedless top water and live baits will get the drag screaming. Schooling fish can be seen attacking bait schools making it fun to target and catch fish one after another.
Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Labor Day weekend. Labor Day signifies the end of summer for many. The benefits of living in south Florida, fun in the sun continues for us.
Saltwater side the snook are still gathering in the inlets and along the beaches. I have seen
plenty of bigger snook on the move coming inside the ICW as well. Targeting seawalls and docks have been the key to success for the snook. Live bait and DOA C.A.L. 3" shad tail bait of choice.
Tarpon fishing has been great near inlets and mangrove lined channels. Free lining live bait with the tide will get the bite. Doa Terror Eyz also a great bait to entice the silver king to strike. The bite for the Tarpon has been best on the first of the incoming and last of the outgoing tides. The Tarpon have been ranging in size from 10 to 50 pounds
Freshwater side the peacock bass bite has been fantastic due to the warmer water temps. The peacock bass are gathering near bridges, seawalls and docks, many of these fish can be sight fished. Live bait or Doa 3" shrimp or small Rapala x raps will get the strike.
Well that is a fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch. So get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!

Live bait is easy to catch now that summer vacation is over. Mahi, kingfish, snapper, sailfish, and wahoo are passing through. Mullet run right around the corner.

My teenage daughter and I had a great trip with Captain Phil today. We weren’t out there long before my daughter reeled in a snapper. In total we caught snapper, Bonito, and Blackfin Tuna. After docking Capt Phil filleted, bagged, and iced the tuna for us.

R.J. And Nick was fantastic. Their boat was very nice and spacious. We caught a huge 42”/15lb dolphin within an hour after leaving the dock. Nick cleaned and filleted the fish and pointed us in the direction of a local restaurant that would cook it up for us.
