Tons of mangrove snapper inside Joe's River and white water Bay. We've been seeing a lot of snook on an incoming tide down in the shark river. South Florida Fishing Report Offshore action has been steady, with mahi fishing producing decent results in depths ranging from 900 to 1,500 feet of water. Anglers are finding success around broken debris and floating seaweed lines, where schools of mahi have been holding. Both artificial lures and live baits have been effective, giving fishermen plenty of opportunities throughout the day. On the reef, the snapper bite has really started to heat up. The bottom bite has been on fire with mutton snapper black grouper and some nice gags. We also caught lots of Blacfin tuna limiting out a couple days with some fish in the 20 pound range and one over 30 pounds. The sailfish showed up today.

May was an incredible month aboard the Hooked Up Sport Fishing off the coast of South Florida! Charter fishing has been outstanding, with an abundance of blackfin tuna, sailfish, and a great start to the grouper season. While we didn't snap too many grouper photos, we did land a gorgeous yellow edge grouper! The weather was fantastic, though the Sargasso weed gave us a few mixed days but we adapted and kept the bites coming.
