The fishing bite on Lake Lanier is turning on quick with warmer temperature to 77 degrees this past week fish are feeding on free lines boards and down rods have also been productive, the morning bite and days with low lite sky's have been really productive. Last week did come across some active fish schooling on top water, caught 2 great fish on topwater lures one fish 18lbs.

Despite the recent but much needed rains the River is running clear and cold below Buford Dam. This 40 mile Chattahoochee River Tailwater section will be fishable all summer long.(notice the fog in the background/ air temperature on the river are 20-30F cooler!😨) The brown trout population is all wild stream bred and the rainbows are stocked but hold over for 2-3years taking on wild characteristics with brilliant coloration. Deadrift nymphs for numbers and strip streamers for quality trophy fish.
