Fishing'ss been pretty good here on the Big Island! Alot of nicer size Blue Marlin around along with some smaller striped marlin and spearfish, some good size yellowfin Tunas around too.

Here's a 401.5 lb Blue we were intending to release but she got tailwrapped and died on us so gave her to a friend to smoke for us. Here's some pics of one we did release we estimated around 450-500. Small one we released a few days ago. Nicer one around 650 we released the same day

We just completed our most charter booked through Captain and it went fantastic. We caught 2 wahoo and a variety of bottom fish.

Over 6 days we released 4 Blue Marlin, 1 Striped Marlin, 4 Spearfish and caught a couple of Ono for the grill.

Fishing has been on fire lately! We have caught 3 marlins over 500 lbs, 1 over 600 and 1 over 700 lbs in the last 10 days. This is the best fishing we've seen in the last 12 months!

    Trip: Kona Coast Big Game Fishing

    We are visiting from California and have many years of deep sea fishing off the California coast. We specialized in catching mako sharks. We booked a half day charter hoping to experience the thrill of catching fish off of the Big Island. We were not disappointed. Skipper Dusty and mate RJ worked very hard to pursue big fish off of Kona. Both of these guys were very professional, enthusiastic, and very personable. Near the end of our charter we hadn’t caught anything but Dusty and RJ kept working hard. And BANG! All of a sudden we had a hook up with a 200+ pound Pacific blue marlin. What a fight! What a beautiful fish. We got him to the boat took pictures and set him free. Just an incredible experience. We highly recommend Dusty for a great adventure in deep sea angling. FISH ON!     Trip: Half Day Charter 4 Hours

    Amazing fishing trip! Shawn and Joe were fantastic. We brought our 8-year son along, and they were incredibly patient with him - even when he was going on and on about Pokemon, lol. The morning started out a little slow, but picked up about 3 hours in. We ended up landing two ono, one right as we were heading back in for the day. They let us keep as much of the fish as we wanted, and we enjoyed grilling it on the beach the next day. We also did some bottom fishing, which was a lot of fun for our son. He got to reel in several interesting little fish and stayed engaged the whole time. Overall, it was a great experience with a friendly, knowledgeable crew. Highly recommend!
