The fishing has been pretty good considering the late cold fronts that have passed by. Speckled Trout are showing up in good numbers and the Redfish have been incredible. We have been getting consistent live bait which means it’s trout season. We are here for it!

The water is warming up and bait is filling up the lakes and ponds. Redfish and Sheepshead have been pretty hott and the speckled trout are showing face now. The weather looks like it’s clearing up and we will be full force on the speckled trout this week.

Fishing down in Shell Beach, Louisiana has been pretty good this winter. The weather was stable and didn’t freeze out on us like it has the last few years. There is still plenty of bait in the interior marshes along with plenty of fish. Redfish and Sheepshead have been phenomenal. The speckled trout have been in and out with the cold fronts. This spring is gonna be great if this weather holds out like it is. The amount of bait we are seeing on the inside is a good sign that the spring/summer Speckled trout run will be off the charts. There are a few smaller rivers that are swollen up with the rain and melted snow from up north, but the Ole mighty Mississippi River is still down. That is a key factor on our trout run in our area. To much fresh water will kill off our oysters and altimatly push our bait out to the outside. Making us travel further for those Highly prized speckled trout. But all things considered, things are looking good for the Shell Beach and Hopedale area this year!!

The fishing has been pretty good down in Shell Beach. The weather has been up and down and so have the fish, but nonetheless, they have been biting. Redfish and Sheepshead have been really good the last few weeks. Trout have been off and on. In between fronts, the trout have been hitting pretty good. Live bait is non existent since the freeze, so we've been bringing Campos dead bait along with some of our favorite artificial baits to get that mixed box.

Fishing down in Shell Beach, Louisiana has been pretty good considering the unstable weather we’ve had. When it got cold for a few weeks the fish started moving close and stacking up, making it easy once you found the fish. Once it warmed up, they spread back out, and we had to go into our early fall patterns to find fish with any consistency. We still have live bait at the docks, so we still use it but it’s not necessarily needed. Throwing DOA shrimp under a cork or on the bottom has been great for us. Fish are scattered out some but once the temps drop back down this week, they will gather back up for an exciting and action-packed trip you won’t soon forget.

Fishing down in Shell Beach Louisiana this fall/winter has been absolutely phenomenal! The redfish and speckled trout have hit their winter patterns right on time this year. We’ve been throwing a lot of artificial baits and some live shrimp under a cork. Finding the perfect tidelines with bait in them have been fairly easy the last few weeks. I have been stepping away from the crowds of community holes and venturing out to find different fish that haven’t been so pressured. We have been working some really stout speckled trout deep in the ponds, and redfish have been tucked up tight on the banks. This cool weather has them eating up and looks to continue on this pattern for a good while.

Fishing down in Shell Beach Louisiana has been nothing short of amazing this fall. The cooler temps are really putting these speckled trout and redfish in their fall patterns. We've had a huge push of sheepshead the last week or 2 along with the already plentiful speckled trout. Running grass lines and oyster reefs for trout , throwing live shrimp or artificial baits under a cork and carolina rigging live shrimp and DOA shrimp have been a killer the last few weeks. The fishing is looking to continue like this for a good while.

Fishing down in Shell Beach Louisiana has been pretty steady considering the heat and rain we've been having. Speckled trout and redfish have been plentiful this summer! With good tidal movements all summer along with plenty of bait, the fish are here, and hungry! We've seen an uptick in tripletail this year as well. The Red Snapper have been great also. We don't have much longer for the season to be open. But the this weekend for labor day, we have a 4 day weekend to target Red Snapper among many other species out there in the deep waters. The fall should be phenomenal down here this year with plenty of Speckled trout, redfish and sheepshead.

Fishing down here has been pretty good considering how hott it's been the last few weeks. We've had some good tides and good bait moving in. The speckled trout are devouring the white shrimp rite now. We are also throwing allot of artificial baits as well to target trout and redfish. The sheepshead will start to make their way inshore to start spawning once the Temps start to drop in a few weeks. But the big ticket is the big refish run thats going to start sometime next week and run through late October into November.

The fishing has been good, it’s hot of course, but the bite has been great early in the morning and later in the evening. Speckled trout have been doing really good under the birds, and the reds are pushing to deeper water to cool down, but the bit is still hot!
