Fishing in the Pamlico sound has been productive. We've had Highwinds the past week which has made it difficult. But next week is looking great. We've been catching a lot of drum, speckled trout, every now and then will get a new pod of bluefish. In the back waters here behind Rodanthe for this time of year, I must say the bite has been pretty great!

    Our eco/island hopping/dolphin watching boat tour with Mike was amazing. He made sure we saw everything we came to see. My son saw dolphins in the wild up close for the first time. Each island stop was so cool seeing the different birds and water creatures. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the area. Highly recommend!!!

    I would give the overall trip a 6 out of 10, Mike our guide did all he could to put os on fish, without much luck. I believe the wind was a factor and in our never leaving the shallow sound areas. Also Mike stated with a child aboard he wasn’t comfortable with leaving the shallower sound areas. The overall experience was not what it was advertised to be. Maybe we will have better luck next time. Tom Terry

    Did the 4 hour sound fishing trip. Our captain was bud. He was a super nice guy and a really awesome boat captain. It was my wife and I and two kids, and we all caught fish. Super amazing day.     My grand children (10 &13) had a fantastic time with Capn Frank and his able bodied assistant. On a challenging windy evening he created as the kids said a legendary trip. We caught sting ray, blue fish, speckled trout, dog shark and a 38 bull drum that gave my grand daughter an epic fight. We also lost another bull drum right at the boat. Thanks again for a wonderful trip
