Summer fishing is kicking off with a blast. The peacocks and largemouth are active and hungry. As the water temperatures continue to warm up and as we get more rain, the bite is only going to get better. We’re catching anywhere between 8-20+ fish during our 2hr trip and 20-30+ during our 4hr trips!

The early summer pattern has been producing some incredible action, especially early and late afternoon bites. Most of our fish have been around 2-4 pounds, with some bigger ones mixed in as well. Whether you’re an experienced angler looking to knock peacocks off your bucket list or just want a fun day catching some fish and learning about the area, now is one of the best times of the year to come out.

Justin was an amazing guide. He put us on fish immediately and when the bite slowed, we moved to a new spot. Limited out on Peacocks with plenty of time to load up on Oscars and Cichlids. He prepared us an awesome lunch and we headed out hunting. There were so many iguanas! We came home with 12 but could have been more than double that if we had better aim. We have already planned another trip with him in the spring.

I highly recommend signing up for the 6-hour tour, especially since it includes his delicious home-cooked, waterside lunch. Captain Justin knows exactly where the iguanas hang out and how to hunt them safely and responsibly without disrupting neighborhoods, homes, or parks. What really stood out is that he genuinely cares about protecting burrowing owls and combating the invasive species that are harming South Florida’s ecosystem. An awesome experience all around!

Amazing cast and blast day! Captain Justin is dedicated to getting you on fish and iguanas. We had a great day filled with five different species of fish and plenty of iguanas (14).
