This fishing was good in the Indian and Banana River lagoons around Melbourne, FL for the first half of spring break. We caught just about everything except Tarpon and Snook, which were seeing the effects of spring break and Easter traffic. We had good Redfishing, Black Drum, Seatrout, Mangrove Snappers, and even some smaller Snook though. A week of rain and slowed fishing pressure should light the fishing up in Late April and early May!

The Juvenile Tarpon bite has been good! Jack Crevalle have been available and are fun to fight as well. Black Drum and Mangrove Snappers have provided some table fare for anglers looking to put a few in the fish box. Snook aren't really ready to consistently bite yet, but we've caught a few. Redfishing has slowed due to the quick warm up, but there are still some showing up each trip.

Redfishing has been great, Sheepshead a close second. There's been some scattered Black Drum and Trout action as well. On the warmer days we've started to see some juvenile Snook and Tarpon even!

The fishing has been good to excellent on the Indian and Banana River Lagoons near Melbourne, FL. What I mean by that is, we have had very cold weather, especially in the mornings and on the back side of cold fronts. The cold weather slows the bite way down. On warmer, sunnier days, and especially in the afternoon, fishing can be excellent. It looks like our little section of the lagoons from Cocoa Beach to Grant has been mostly (but not all, some tarpon and snook died in shallow sections) spared from the fish kill ð. Here's the report (please make it my caption): 🎣 The fishing has been excellent for the last month on the Indian and Banana River Lagoons near Melbourne, FL. We had awesome fishing Redfish, Black Drum, Seatrout, and Mangrove Snappers. We still had a decent sheepshead bite as well.
🧊 The return of colder weather is forecast for the foreseeable future. The cold weather will kick the Redfish and Sheepshead fishing back into high gear. Black Drum and Seatrout will be consistently good as well.

Couldn’t recommend enough. Kenny was really knowledgeable, a great coach, had a great set up and made sure we had plenty of decent catches. We also got the opportunity to spot some local wildlife along the way. Would definitely book with him again in the future.
