The bay has recently been flooded with rainfall recently. The fishing has remained stable. Catching speckled trout on both live baits and soft plastic artificial worms. Larger swim baits have seemed to be the ticket in darker colors. Redfishing has been more spotty. There are some schools if you can locate them. Black drum are cruising deeper water in schools. Been catching a few flounder along drop offs and shorelines. Expect the bite to get better as weather stabilizes.

This summer's fishing has been nothing short of spectacular, with daily limits of speckled trout and consistent limits of redfish on most outings. We're also starting to see more big bull reds showing up, adding to the excitement. The light morning breezes provide a comfortable ride out into the Laguna Madre, while the mid-morning winds have kept the bite going strong. Captain Mike: South Padre Fishing Report. The bay fishing has remained decent throughout the past couple weeks. Catching speckled trout on live and soft plastic artificial baits. Redfishing has been a little more hit or mis...Somedays have been better than others depending on wind and tidal fluctuations. After the tropical depression we have had an influx of fresh water and tidal push in water levels. All in all the fishing has remained decent and clients are happy with catches. My schedule is filling up so try and pick dates at least two weeks in advance.

We did a cast and blast trip with Glenn, and from start to finish it was an incredible experience. It was my first time duck hunting, and Glenn made the entire day feel effortless. He’s one of the most genuine, down to earth people you’ll meet, and he really knows his stuff. On the fishing side, he put us on the fish immediately. We limited out on trout, picked up some reds, and even caught a flounder we had to release. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip feel smooth and enjoyable. And the duck hunting… I haven’t had that much fun in a long time. It was relaxing, exciting, and just an unforgettable experience. The birds were on today, and we knocked down a limit within the first 10–15 minutes. I’d never seen so many ducks up close.. hearing them land and work the decoys was something I’ll never forget. The whole time, we felt guided, taken care of, and genuinely welcomed. We had great conversations, plenty of laughs, and just an all-around amazing time. Thanks again, Glenn. We’ll be seeing you again in a few weeks. 10/10 highly recommended.
