The Ponce Inlet area had really been heating up. And I mean that literally. With water temps in the mid 80s many species have been pretty active. For the past two weeks we have had Kingfish (king mackeral) on the beaches so just about every drop with bait you are hooking up. This is great if you are targeting them but otherwise they are going to bite you off. Tarpon still very active with mixes of 20-40 lb fish and 100lb plus fish. Sharks are working the sandbars around the inlet. Im using crab on the bottom for Bonnethead and fresh cut bait fish for blacktips, bull and lemon. Mangroves are biting on the out going tide off the rocks and oysters bars... im doing good in the 6' depth. Redfish and snook bite is first thing in the am with 85 plus degree water.
