Inks Lake Fishing Report – Late December 2025
Inks Lake is currently at a normal water level with lightly stained water and about 2–4 feet of visibility. Water temperatures are hovering around 60°, and the cooler, overcast days have been producing the most consistent action. With the recent drawdown behind us, the lake is continuing to settle into typical winter patterns.
Bass fishing has been best using finesse presentations, especially drop-shot rigged worms, along with crankbaits. One productive pattern has been targeting remaining patches of submerged vegetation in roughly 8–11 feet of water, where fish have been holding and feeding...

There's been a lot of heavy fog whenever we can get around we're able to catch quite a few trout, and the bulls are still running. Lots of fish being caught.

7 lbs caught today on lake fork by a 13 year old kid and it's the first bass he has ever caught. Good one to start out with.
