**Inks Lake Fishing Report – Early September**
Inks Lake is currently about 0.75 feet below full pool, with water temperatures around 83° and visibility ranging from roughly 2–5 feet. Bass are being caught around shallow cover on urchin-style baits and drop-shot rigged finesse worms, providing consistent opportunities throughout the day.
Some of the more exciting action has been coming from schools of bass feeding on large gizzard shad offshore. These schools are providing opportunities for quality fish, with large swimbaits and big topwater baits producing the best results when the bass are actively feeding. Lady Bird Lake is at a normal level with stained water and about 3–4 feet of visibility. Water temperatures are around 80°, and the most consistent fishing has shifted back toward submerged vegetation in roughly 5–10 feet of water.
Urchin-style baits fished in and around the vegetation have been producing the best action, with drop-shot rigged finesse worms also catching fish in the same areas. The roaming offshore schools that provided much of the action during the summer have become less prevalent, making productive stretches of submerged grass the best areas to

Fishing Report:
The past week has been a blast catching a lot of fish from topwater to sight fishing. In several areas the hydrilla is in great shape and its holding lots of the fun size. In a few areas it’s crystal clear. If it’s dead calm you can see fish crusing. Pitching a small worm a few feet in front will catch 'em. I’ve found a few areas with suspended whites but they haven’t been easy to catch like usual.
