They don't call it MAYport for no reason! Fishing the last few weeks has been off the chain. From inshore to offshore there really isn't anything that isn't biting. Playing the tide weather has been determining the target!

The Inshore and Offshore Water Temperature is Warming UP... Big time ! That's right... Everyone knows we had a Mild Winter this year. The Offshore and Inshore Water Temperature is Warming Up at a fast rate, and that is what We WANT !!!! All the Inshore and Offshore Species will be at least Two to Three Weeks Early this year compared to last year. I am giving a Heads Up to Book Early... That's because things will be accelerated this year with the warm water moving in sooner than expected. The Inshore fishing for Fluke, and Sea Bass should be hitting good in early May. The Offshore fishing for Tuna should also be firing on all cylinders by the end of May, or the beginning of June at the latest. Last year we had some great Fluke and Sea Bass fishing including some incredible Tuna, Marlin, and the best Wahoo fishing ever. Book Now before the choice dates are Gone.

March Fishing has brought a lot of fish over the rail. Reds, trout, and a great sheephead bite inshore. Offshore bottom has been awesome on the days the wind lays down allow us to fish off the coast. The much anticipated mahi run starts any day now in April and usually last til june. Fishing only gets better and better as the water warms and reaches it peak in the Fall. Our Fishing here in Charleston SC is awesome in the spring from inshore to offshore, we love getting our rod tugged!

The fishing has been good nice seabass, beeliners and some nice triggerfish. Even had a nice 28 inch gag grouper and of course they are closed right now. Weather just won't cooperate for much offshore fishing right now. Made a couple of trips recently and one was real good the other got shortened due to 3 cases of the sea flu.

Week of 1/15 has been a great one. Lots of black seabass and ringtail porgies on the 4 hour trips. Recently the shallow triggers and beeliners haven't been cooperating but nothing to be mad about as Black Sea bass offer world class eating! For the 6/8 hour offshore trips cobia fishing was world class with one 6 hour trip boasting double digit fish including a tagged 30+ pounder. The fish was originally caught in South Carolina at 32" overall in 2019 and recaptured 1200 days and nearly 300 miles away at 42" fork length. Inshore the fish have been steady with some days better than others. On the low tide mid day trips sightfishing has been the name of the game. With a low tide in the morning targeting holes has been the money. Winter fishing is in full swing! Let's goooo fishin!

Still on the grind for white sturgeon on the Sacramento River! With high river flows more sturgeon are showing up every day! I suspect February and March are going to be 'Off the hook!
Fishing has been great when you can get out. Have been out twice this month and filled the boat cooler with plenty of huge seabass, porgy and trigger fish.

Fishing has been great to kick off the year. The reds are schooled up inshore and the sheepshead have began to move out to the nearshore reefs. Offshore has never slowed down for bottom fishing. Black Sea bass are thick.

Inshore fishing has been awesome in the skiff. With cooling water fish have been stacked up in their usual winter time haunts. Black drum now moving with the schools of reds too for some bonus catches. Offshore black seabass fishing is off the chain on the short 4/6 hour trips. Mixed with vermillion snapper and triggerfish. On the extended 10/12 hour trips trigger fish is the name of the game for meat haul. If the goal is hero or 0 lots of big wahoos have been hitting the deck with the cold weather. As always plenty of mutton snappers and usual suspects to compliment the box. Let's go fishin!
