Lake Travis: Name of the game right now is just find the right spot! The fishing can be slow until you find the right spot right now. Tough to find a repeatable pattern, but when you find the right little spot, it can be lights out! We are doing the best on steeper banks / offshore ledges with a drop shot rigged finesse worm. Fish quickly and cover water until you get a bite or two and then slow way down to see how many fish may be there!

The crappie and large mouth bass bite has been on fire right now here in Florida. We have been fishing on Lake Panasoffkee. For the Crappie aka Specks we have been using minnows on number 6 gold hooks under a slip cork they have been running in 4ft to 6ft of water. We have had are best luck under the oak trees hanging over the water in the shadows. The large mouth bass has been in the Hydrilla and a long the shoreline chasing bait out Florida bass are getting ready for the spawn in the next couple months. The big female will be pulling up on the beds around the shoreline's and docks. Use a rattle trap and a purple warm for your best results.

We are getting the winter bass bite dialed on the upper Brazos. We are having 8-15 fish days but seeing much better quality on average as the bigger fish are fattening up for a cold month ahead!! We also have been slaying the stocked trout below the damn and have walk and wade trips available this month. Spring bass fishing dates 2023 are filling up for me. Couldn't ask for better conditions here in S.E. Florida for Peacock Bass and Clownknife Fish. Weathers been Ideal for 50 fish mornings. Fishing down in Shell Beach Louisiana this fall/winter has been absolutely phenomenal! The redfish and speckled trout have hit their winter patterns right on time this year. We’ve been throwing a lot of artificial baits and some live shrimp under a cork. Finding the perfect tidelines with bait in them have been fairly easy the last few weeks. I have been stepping away from the crowds of community holes and venturing out to find different fish that haven’t been so pressured. We have been working some really stout speckled trout deep in the ponds, and redfish have been tucked up tight on the banks. This cool weather has them eating up and looks to continue on this pattern for a good while.

Tis the season for trout. The water temperature has cooled off enough to trigger the bite. The trout have been stacked up in the creeks and are hungry. Target them in the creek corners and oyster bars on a popping cork or freeline a mudminnow for the best action. Redfish are also stacked up in the creeks using the same tactics and bait. Numbers are sufficient to make for an exciting day on the water but most are under slot. The big flounder are in and ready to eat. Target them along the ICW as well as creek holes using a mudminnows on a jig head. Work it slowly on the bottom until you feel that bump and wait just a few seconds before setting the hook. You won’t be disappointed.

Lake Fork is still fairly slow. Best bite is Texas rigs and Viper XP Jigs. Best colors are green, pumpkin, gold flake Raptor Craw and Sour grape, and PB&J on jigs . 2-6 ft on wood or lay downs are best if near ditches and creeks. Some fish in the very back of the pockets. Few fish are being caught on XD 5 crank baits on main lake points and secondary points in 8 ft. Shad pattern is good.
