Fishing report from Mark H. in Dennis, Massachusetts Book a trip with Captain Mark here.

The fishing in Cape Cod Bay has been crazy good. We are finding stripe bass from 23 inches up to 41 inches. In Mass we have a slot rule so in order to take home a bass, it has to be between 28 inches and under 31 inches. We have been jigging or as I like to say, Cape Cod Cardio, on the shoals. This has been producing the best results. The jigging can be challenging however when the line go tight, all is forgotten. Just last week we were able to knock off a bucket list request and he hit for his first stripe bass which was 33 inches. A nice photo shoot and back it went In to the water. The bluefish have also just arrived and that is starting to pick up too. If you are looking for some great fishing, please reach out and we can make it happen.

Flounder fishing has been pretty good in the back bays lately. Gulp and various meats have been working well. The sea bass bite on the Inshore wrecks is on fire. You can't hit the bottom with a jig without being hooked up. The surf continues to produce nice striped bass and puppy drum, both on fresh clams. Salted works for stripers too. And to add to the fun there have been some nice weakies and blues around as well. Fishing is in full swing here and should only get better.

Fishing report from Carlo M. in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina Book a trip with Captain Carlo here.

March Fishing has brought a lot of fish over the rail. Reds, trout, and a great sheephead bite inshore. Offshore bottom has been awesome on the days the wind lays down allow us to fish off the coast. The much anticipated mahi run starts any day now in April and usually last til june. Fishing only gets better and better as the water warms and reaches it peak in the Fall. Our Fishing here in Charleston SC is awesome in the spring from inshore to offshore, we love getting our rod tugged!

Fishing report from Chris O. in Little River, South Carolina

Nearshore 5-15 miles there’s been a good push of keeper size sea bass. Many of the 50-70ft ledges and live bottom have been holding better size fish. Any kind of cut bait squid or fish on a double drop rig should produce. If your not looking to make a mess with cut bait, large artificials like gulp and fish bite grubs and curly tails on a 2 oz jig work well. Theres also some good sheepshead and black drum around the 3 mile reefs as well. Typically using fiddler crabs or cut shrimp on a 3/4-1oz jig head or Carolina rig will produce. On the jetties there’s some trout black drum sheepshead and redfish around the rocks. Floating some fresh dead or live shrimp on a slip cork should produce. If the small sheep heads keep stealing your bait try throwing some artificial shrimp or z man swim baits for the reds and trout. Clears, purples, and red flake work the best. In The back water creeks there’s still been some red fish, black drum, and trout. These fish right now are extremely spooky, and any kind of bait you throw needs to be presented slowly, but if you take your time, you may be rewarded with a monster fish. Mudminnows and shrimp on a jig head or throwing light artificial shrimp have had the best results. In the ICW there’s been a few smaller keeper size trout scattered around the shell banks, and creek mouths. A lot of these fish have pushed up the river and the best way to find them is to use your electronics if you slowly cruise up and down the waterway and you have a side scan unit, you can normally mark the schools by the dozens. mark the school, then start in fish
