What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?
Yellow fin tuna
If you were cooking for all your friends what would you cook?
I have a ton of fish options, but my favorite is baked mangrove snapper with bell peppers and onions
What’s your favorite band?
I have an eclectic music taste and have a long list of favorites (which also means I'm good with whatever music people want to listen to on the boat)
What’s your favorite movie?
The Guardian ... great story of heroes on the water
What’s your favorite sports team?
Alabama Crimson Tide (though recently that has become harder)
What’s your drink of choice?
Water - I'm out on the water a lot so lots of hydration is a daily activity for me.
What was your last halloween costume?
Cowboy
What do you want for Christmas this year?
A new truck (though still waiting on Santa for that one)
How did you get started guiding?
I loved fishing and decided to make it my career. I've been blessed with 20+ years on the water - it's given me a ton of knowledge but the beauty of salt water fishing is that there is always something new to learn.
What makes you different from other guides?
Deep experience and overall personality. 20+ years in these waters has given me vast knowledge of all the fishing spot, species behaviors, and water considerations to maximize the experience on every charter. My personality is also very flexible, so I can go out with experienced anglers and target whatever they want, or can flip on the next charter with a boat of kids and patiently teach them all the basics of fishing. Every charter is different which keeps it interesting!
