These nearshore shark fishing charters feature great shark fishing excitement within 3 miles of the beaches of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. Our Orange Beach shark fishing charters feature the opportunity to catch several species of the worlds greatest predators such as Bull Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Finetooth, Hammerhead, Sharpnose and more.

Nearshore shark fishing charters are considered best for ages ten and up, guests under 300 pounds, and groups of four of fewer. Our private shark fishing charters are offered year round and feature trips of three and four hours and rates to fit most any budget.

Nearshore shark fishing charters frequently focus on drifting live and dead baits, dropping bottom rigs under chum, and fishing drift lines. While most sharks are heavily protected and are not legal to harvest, some species can be kept and eaten. We feel sharks are a valuable part of our local ecosystem and we do not kill sharks just to harvest fins, jaws, or to hang dead for a few pictures. We instead focus on harvesting legal species to eat and then safely taking pictures and videos and honoring those we will not eat by releasing it safely back into the wild.

Water - I'm out on the water a lot so lots of hydration is a daily activity for me.

How did you get started guiding?
I loved fishing and decided to make it my career. I've been blessed with 20+ years on the water - it's given me a ton of knowledge but the beauty of salt water fishing is that there is always something new to learn.
What makes you different from other guides?
Deep experience and overall personality. 20+ years in these waters has given me vast knowledge of all the fishing spot, species behaviors, and water considerations to maximize the experience on every charter. My personality is also very flexible, so I can go out with experienced anglers and target whatever they want, or can flip on the next charter with a boat of kids and patiently teach them all the basics of fishing. Every charter is different which keeps it interesting!

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Chris will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

We vet our guides and only partner with the best of the best. Our guides do their very best to keep you safe, show you a great time, and send you home with a memorable experience shared with family and friends.
Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.
Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
