Is booking a hunting guide worth the money?
Hiring a guide provides a number of benefits and many choose to book a hunting guide for a combination of experience, local knowledge, convenience, and cost-effectiveness.
Working with experienced hunting guides who know the best local spots and techniques can dramatically increase your odds of a great day. Having someone who is outside every day and knows the area like the back of their hand is going to give you the best chances of success.
Booking a guide is also more cost effective, especially if you only get out a handful of times per year. When you consider all of the costs you would incur on your own such as the price of a boat, maintenance, insurance, gas, high-quality gear, repairs, and more, you’ll find that DIY is sometimes not worth the expense.
Even if you’ve got a great setup already in your backyard, booking a guide also provides a great opportunity to experience new techniques, new locations, or even a chance at a new target species to knock off the bucket list.

Had a great time! Charles was easy to communicate with during the planning stage and was fun to be around during our trip. He went the extra mile to make sure we had fun and got some big iguanas.

Trip: Iguana Hunt
Captain Brett was awesome. Put us on some action. He was polite and easy to get along with. He went above and beyond, tying to help with taxidermist and make recommendations for dinner and things to do in the area. Will be booking with him again.

Trip: Cast And Blast Combo!
Charles was such a great guide. He did everything to make our day as special as he could. I would highly recommend a trip with Charles and I'll be back for sure.

We did the cast and blast trip and were able to check a couple things off the list. One of the guys in our group was really wanting to catch a snakehead and got it done, and I was able to knock a peacock bass off my bucket list as well. We also got some good iguanas during the hunting portion of the trip. The equipment provided was top notch, especially the guns, and everything was handled with a strong focus on safety. For someone new to this type of trip, there’s definitely an opportunity to experience a little bit of everything.
