We fish out in the ocean on the reefs offshore of Fort Lauderdale, bottom fishing for all the good eating reef fish such as snappers, groupers, porgies, grunts, jacks, triggerfish and more. Catch fish and have fun on an all-inclusive trip with captain and deckhands that will help you during the trip with the fishing. Trip includes all the gear, bait, tackle, licenses, rods/reels and coolers with ice. Deckhands are there with you to help you in using the equipment and catching the fish. They can teach you if you don't have experience. We're targeting numbers of fish over size of fish on this trip to maximize action for everyone and we usually do quite well. It's still fishing but even on slow days most people bring home a few. Whatever you catch is yours to keep and when we get back to the dock, our deckhands offer free fish cleaning and we have fish bags and ice for you to take your fish home. Our techniques are either drift fishing or anchor fishing, both are very similar forms of bottom fish fishing. We are using cut bait such as squid, ballyhoo and sardines and all this is provided. We're fishing about a mile offshore where it starts to get deep and we fish the reefs, wrecks, patch reefs, buoys and current edges where we know the fish are. We've been doing this for over 40 years in the same location and we fish every single day on the same schedule. Give us a try and we'd love to have you out with us. Read More

trip description for Miami Beach Fishing Adventure in Miami Beach

It takes around 15 minutes to reach the ocean from Captain Maurice's dock and most of the fish you'll catch are within two miles offshore. Miami's warm Gulf Stream waters produce fish all year round, including Sailfish, Wahoo, Dolphin, Kingfish, Tuna, Amberjack, Barracuda and Sharks. Miami is unique because you don't have to commit to a full day adventure to chase after these big pelagic species, and though you may have better chances at bigger fish on longer adventures, the possibility (for big fish) is always there on the 4 hour as well! Captain Maurice will provide all the necessary gear for your adventure! All he recommends you bring are your favorite snacks and drinks, and your sun protection. He'll take care of the rest. Jedidiah was unavailable to take us out fishing, but his friend Matt was able fill in. Matt was excellent company, very knowledgeable about fishing, and the various species within these waters. We had a wonderful time and if Matt is a representation of the people Jedidiah keeps for company, then I have no doubt he would be as equally wonderful to go fishing with, 10/10.

Taylor was amazing! He knew exactly what he was doing; the spots to go to, which bait to use to catch certain fish, and how to set up each individual line. He also knew when each line would be hooked or something was biting, even when we couldn’t see it. We ended up with one big catch that broke the line as we spent what felt like hours fighting it. Even though we didn’t end up feeling anything in, it was still a great experience out on the water, talking about a range of topics with Taylor. We would definitely come back and book with Taylor and Wicked Cuda again!

I would 100% recommend a trip with Jedidiah. No doubt he knows the waters and how to get on the fish, but was also very good with our two younger anglers who had a memorable, successful and exciting experience. King Mackerel were biting and they were just a couple minutes off shore. Thanks Jedidiah and hope to book another one with you in the future!

Ozzy and his wife were absolutely wonderful!! They were so friendly and welcoming. They genuinely wanted us to have a good experience and even went over our time slot because Ozzy was determined to have us catch something big before the end, and we did!! The last fish we caught was a huge barracuda! It was truly such a fun experience and you could tell how passionate Ozzy and his wife are about what they do. We would love to come back one day and go fishing with them again!
