When the bite slows down toward the afternoon, Captains JT and Danny will haul in the lines, and motor out a little deeper to the 80-110 mile range. While you get some much-needed R&R, they will get the boat into position for the Tuna bite early the next morning. The Tuna bite is usually on a couple of hours before sunrise, so after a couple of hours of sleep, you'll wake up around 4 am to start jigging for Tuna! This is one of the only times slots when big tuna come up from the deep to feed and they are usually swimming back down to deeper water by the time the sun comes up. So you'll jig until that sun comes up then troll around in the rest of the morning before you motor back in!
