You can do this just the opposite that I call a 'Gentleman's' Trip where we leave 7am to fish until 11am then head back in for the break before going on the PM duck hunt leaving dock between 1 and 2pm and hunting til sunset (unless fog or rain runs us in)...no alcohol in the duck blinds no exceptions.

Outfitter
My earliest memories involve Fishing and being Outdoors with my dad and my family. I remember being super excited for the weekends because my dad would love to take me fishing whether it was walking out on the Galveston jetties or later going in our Bay boat I was always excited to be even a little part of the planning, preparation and travel to the boat ramp. Of course there was always a gathering of the bait either by cast net or buying it from the ramp shop. We always felt like if we did not have live shrimp we would not catch anything which of course I found later not to be the case, but my parents instilled in me at a early age, the beauty of the outdoors-freedom of fishing on the Galveston bay. I carry that excitement and energy throughout my life. I remember the day I got my drivers license. I hooked up to the boat and took it to the boat ramp. Later I became a fishing guide and spent nine years even more intensely learning all about Bait fishing and management and what that meant to catch a fish-more accurately to put customers on fish day after day. The experience speaks for itself, but the energy and drive it takes to be a Fishing guide is all about helping others especially kids. I love the unbiased energy and excitement of children on the boat. I love how they’re excited about the live bair in the tank and asking me all kinds of questions that no one else may ask. I look forward to sharing time with you and your family on your fishing adventures.

How did you get started guiding?
I have always been a 'guide' taking clients fishing myself whether it was from the advertising specialties, CCA, DU, Banking, Insurance, Softball, you name it they came with me. I would write articles about fishing the Texas coast quite often as well. It was common to hear the comment 'why don't just become a fishing guide' which resonated with me until after a life change I decided it was time! 13 or so years later here I am guiding for a living and still writing articles found in CCA Currents, and some saltwater fishing magazines, but also still own a vacation rentals business with my wife and I'm a Realtor as well. Hustle is the name of the game. See you on the water.
What makes you different from other guides?
Personality and Experience both personally and from my business career(s).

Everything Else to Know

We DO NOT provide gear for duck hunts and recommend bringing stocking foot waders and lace up books for agility versus boot waders but whatever you have work with that, no need to go spend a ton on them unless you use them a lot, also bring your shot gun with duck loads recommend Black Cloud for knock down power, sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip-hot coffee in a thermos is popular..reminder no alcohol is permitted on these duck hunts for safety of all concerned--alcohol and firearms do not mix.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Stephen will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
