About Your Trip

Get ready to chase down some of the fastest, flashiest fish in the Pacific on this action-packed 8-hour offshore trip with Captain Rolando and crew! If you’ve been dreaming of hooking into high-flying Sailfish or hard-charging Mahi Mahi, this trip takes you 20 to 45 miles offshore into some of the richest bluewater fishing grounds Panama has to offer.

Once you’re out past the 20-mile mark, it’s game on. These deep waters are prime hunting
grounds for pelagic predators, and depending on conditions, you could be battling Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Bonito (Skipjack), or the iconic Sailfish. The crew will primarily use trolling and spinning techniques to cover water and trigger explosive strikes—so keep your eyes on the spread and your adrenaline ready.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 31’ Bertram sportfisher built for offshore performance and comfort. Outfitted with outriggers, tuna tubes, a live bait well, and top-of-the-line Raymarine electronics (GPS, radar, and fishfinder), this vessel is dialed in for serious fishing. There’s also a toilet on board, Bluetooth audio system, shaded deck space, and air conditioning available upon request (additional fee applies), making the ride out and back just as enjoyable as the fishing itself.

No need to worry about gear—the crew provides all rods, reels, lures, and tackle. Live bait is included when available, and they’ll take care of cleaning and filleting your legal catch at the end of the day at no extra charge. Bottled water is provided, and catering can be arranged ahead of time if you’d like to enjoy a full lunch or snacks out on the water. You're also welcome to bring your own food and beverages—just skip the glass bottles and hard liquor.

A skilled First Mate will be on board to assist throughout the day. While not required, it’s customary to tip your mate 10–20% for their hard work and dedication to making your trip a success.

Best of all, there's no fishing license required in Panama—just bring sun protection, sunglasses, and a hunger for big-game adventure. Whether you're looking to test your skills against acrobatic Sailfish or fill the cooler with tasty Mahi and Tuna, this offshore run with Captain Rolando delivers the kind of deep-sea excitement you won’t forget.
