Depending on the season and the bite, Captain Randy uses a mix of live shad and artificial jigs to get these aggressive fish fired up. From jigging and bottom fishing to topwater explosions and even sight casting, you'll get a chance to try a variety of proven techniques while targeting some of the hardest-fighting fish in the lake.

Lake Buchanan is well known for its epic white bass runs and hard-pulling hybrid stripers—and Randy has spent years dialing in their habits. Whether they're stacked deep or busting bait on the surface, he knows where to find them and how to get them to bite.

You’ll be fishing from Randy’s 21’ Skeeter bass boat, a stable and comfortable ride outfitted with everything you need to get on the fish. With space for up to 2 anglers, it’s a great setup for father-son trips, couples, or fishing buddies looking to make the most of a morning or afternoon on the water.

All rods, reels, tackle, and live bait are provided, and once the fishing wraps up, Randy will clean and fillet your catch so it's ready for the cooler. Just bring along a small ice chest to carry your fresh filets home. Feel free to pack your favorite snacks and drinks for the trip—beer is welcome (no glass, please)—and don’t worry, this trip is kid-friendly and perfect for anglers of any skill level.

I have been a die hard fisherman my entire life. It all started fishing stock ponds with my father when I was about 4. I did 9 years in the Army reserves right out of high school. My wife and I met when we were both Stationed at Fort Hood. She was in the Army as well. We have now been married for 27 years. Shortly after we were married we started a Termite and Pest Control company, which we still have to this day. Being a guide is something I always wanted to do, and I finally got to a time where I could. I have been guiding now for 2 years, and I love it. We have 2 sons, both young men now. The youngest is my go to guy for anything I need with our pest control company. We also have 3 other employees, but things are good and I’m what I like to call semi retired.. lol. I would love to have you come enjoy a day on the water with me!

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip. I provide iced down bottled water.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
