The Bay has many species to target, including trophy Trout, Red Drum, Black Drum, Snook, and Flounder, where as the Gulf of Mexico has great Snapper, Dorado, Ling, King Mackerel, Tarpon, and Sailfish. I was born in 1978, and my first memories of fishing the Laguna Madre start around 1984. As a child I developed a passion for fishing, learning alongside my father and grandfather. I am licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and have been fishing professionally as a South Padre Island Fishing Guide since 2007. I also have a certification in adult CPR. I am a patient fishing guide on South Padre Island. My goal is to never stop learning, whether it be new techniques or new fishing spots to improve my success rate out on the water.

What makes you different from other guides?
I don't know, but I don't let it be my whole personality. The main difference is I don't use the boat everyone else uses. Most if not all guide use a flats boat, I use a Panga boat that has the capability of doing both bay shallow water fishing and also deeper water for Snapper and other offshore fishing.

Everything Else to Know

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
