Step into some of the most iconic inshore waters in the country with a fly and light tackle fishing trip through Southwest Florida’s backcountry. From the remote mangroves of the Ten Thousand Islands to the clear flats of Pine Island Sound, these trips are built around sight fishing, adapting to conditions, and targeting quality fish in a world-class fishery.

You’ll have the opportunity to fish areas like Everglades National Park, Ten Thousand Islands, Pine Island Sound, and surrounding waters near Naples, Fort Myers, and Sanibel Island.

The Experience

Each trip is tailored to the conditions, tides, and your goals for the day. Whether you’re throwing flies or working light tackle, the focus is on reading water, spotting fish, and making the right presentation.

Target species may include tarpon, snook, redfish, trout, tripletail, black drum, sheepshead, and jack crevalle depending on the season. From laid-up tarpon to cruising redfish on the flats, these waters offer a mix of technical and rewarding fishing.

This is a hands-on, immersive experience suited for anglers of all levels, with guidance provided throughout the day to help you improve and stay engaged.

The Boat & Setup

You’ll be fishing from a 17’ technical poling skiff designed for shallow water and sight fishing. It’s a quiet, stable platform that allows access to skinny water and prime backcountry habitat.

Top-tier rods, reels, and hand-tied flies are provided, along with tackle, fishing licenses, water, and lunch. There’s also room onboard if you’d like to bring additional food or drinks.

What Sets It Apart

This fishery is as diverse as it is scenic—ranging from remote, untouched mangrove systems to open flats with crystal-clear water. Each area offers a different style of fishing, keeping every trip dynamic and engaging.

Captain Kevin is a Southwest Florida guide with deep roots in the state’s inshore fisheries. He started fishing at a young age in the Indian River Lagoon, where he developed a passion for species like tarpon, snook, and redfish—an interest that quickly grew into a lifelong pursuit.

After moving to Southwest Florida, he immersed himself in the region’s diverse fisheries, with a particular draw to the remote waters of the Ten Thousand Islands and Everglades. Over the years, he’s built a strong understanding of these ecosystems, focusing on sight fishing and refining his approach with both fly and light tackle.

Kevin brings a thoughtful, hands-on style to every trip, whether you’re learning the basics or looking to fine-tune your technique. When he’s not guiding, he’s tied closely to the local fishing community, working with flies and gear and continuing to stay dialed in on the water.

He’s also a strong advocate for conservation and the long-term health of the fishery, recognized for his efforts to help protect and preserve these waters for future generations.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
