About Your Trip

Target hard-fighting King (Chinook) and Coho Salmon during peak season from September through October on the world-famous Salmon and Oswego Rivers. These trips are run from a 17’ Hyde drift boat or as walk-and-wade options, depending on conditions and your preference.

Early in the season, you may fish the Salmon River estuary, where fish are fresh from the lake—strong, aggressive, and often less pressured. As the run progresses, trips move upriver where fish stack in
current seams, pools, and structure.

Techniques include float fishing, fly fishing, bottom bouncing, casting, and running plugs, all tailored to where the fish are holding. These trips are hands-on and active, with a focus on reading water and staying on the bite.

All gear is provided (except waders), and groups are kept small for a focused experience. Larger groups can be accommodated with multiple boats.

Along with his team, he targets a wide range of species including salmon, steelhead, trout, walleye, pike, and bass, adjusting each trip to match the season and conditions.

Captain Michael and his team pride themselves on local knowledge and adaptability—reading water, tracking fish movement, and making real-time adjustments to stay on the bite. The goal is simple: put you in the best position to catch fish and make sure you have a solid, enjoyable day on the water.
