About Your Trip

Get on one of Oregon’s most productive fisheries chasing Chinook and Coho Salmon out of Winchester Bay. Depending on the season and conditions, you’ll fish either the open ocean or protected bay systems, giving you flexibility to stay on the bite.

This is primarily a trolling fishery, covering water efficiently with multiple lines to locate active fish. When things line up, it’s not uncommon to have multiple hookups at once, especially during the Coho run—often referred to locally as the “coho rodeo” for a reason.

You’ll be using quality rods, reels, tackle, and bait—all included, with the crew constantly adjusting speed, depth, and spread to stay dialed in. This trip is well-suited for both beginners and experienced anglers, offering steady action with real opportunities at quality salmon.

For those looking to add to the experience, crabbing can be added for a small fee, giving you even more to take home at the end of the day.

With a background rooted in both fishing and hunting—and a degree in Fish and Wildlife—he brings a well-rounded understanding of how these fisheries work and how to stay consistent throughout the seasons.

He fishes a wide range of waters including the Columbia, Umpqua, and Willamette Rivers, as well as nearshore and offshore coastal fisheries, giving him the ability to adapt and stay on fish no matter the conditions.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
