About Your Trip

Step into some of Maine’s most storied trout and salmon water on a walk-and-wade fly fishing trip built around hands-on fishing, technical presentations, and exploring productive water on foot. These trips are ideal for anglers who enjoy covering water methodically while targeting wild brook trout and aggressive landlocked salmon in classic New England settings.

Depending on conditions and time of year, trips may take place throughout the Rangeley Region, Kennebec River system, or other productive
Western Maine fisheries known for strong hatches, cold water, and healthy trout and salmon populations. From small mountain streams to larger rivers and runs, every trip is adjusted around water levels, weather, and current fishing conditions.

Both half-day and full-day options are available. Full-day trips allow more time to move between locations, fish multiple sections of water, and take advantage of changing hatches and conditions throughout the day.

These trips are well suited for anglers of all experience levels, whether you’re looking to improve casting and presentation techniques or simply spend a day exploring beautiful Maine trout water with an experienced guide.

Flies, tippet, split shot, loaner rods, instruction, and transportation within the fishing area are included. Full-day trips also include a shore lunch. Guests should bring a valid Maine fishing license, weather-appropriate clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, and any personal gear they prefer to use.

About Your Guide

Nicoli B.

Independent Guide
Nicoli is a professional fly fishing guide residing in Kingfield, Maine since 2001. As an avid outdoorsman, you can usually find him pursuing trout and salmon on one of Maine's many fine rivers, or hunting the marshes and fields chasing ducks and geese as they migrate south. He cut his teeth fly fishing the challenging and productive Farmington River in NW Connecticut. After a fishing trip to the Rapid River with his Uncle Wayne in 1994, Nicoli knew that the Western Mountains of Maine was where he'd someday make his home. After a few trips to Colorado's South Platte River and the Roaring Fork of the Colorado River, experiencing the western guide culture, he knew he wanted to be a fly fishing guide. Fast forward to the present, and he is using his 25+ years of experience fishing Maine's fabled waters to fulfill his dream of hosting fly fishers from near and far in this great state he calls home. A registered Maine guide since 2010, his resume includes guiding for some of the most prestigious lodges and outfitters in Maine. With extensive knowledge of the Rangeley Region, the Kennebec River, and the West Branch of the Penobscot, Nicoli can provide a safe and memorable fishing adventure on some of the finest fly fishing waters in the country.
