About Your Trip

Few places offer the variety and consistency of fishing found off the west coast of Vancouver Island, and this trip puts you right in the middle of it. Join Captain Todd and his team aboard a comfortable 28' Sea Ray cuddy cabin and explore the productive waters surrounding Ucluelet in search of Chinook Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, and even Dungeness Crab.

Whether you're a first-time angler or a seasoned fisherman, these trips are designed to maximize
your time on the water. Half-day trips focus on productive nearshore grounds where you'll target Lingcod, Halibut, and crab. The 6-hour trip expands your range and opportunities, allowing you to fish for Salmon, Lingcod, Halibut, and other seasonal species. For anglers looking for the full experience, the full-day trip provides 8-10 hours on the water targeting trophy Chinook Salmon and Halibut while exploring some of the most scenic fishing grounds on Vancouver Island.

The boat is equipped with GPS, fishfinder, radar, an onboard restroom, and all required safety equipment, including a CPR-trained crew. Rods, reels, tackle, bait, and lures are all included, and your catch will be cleaned and filleted at the end of the day.

While the fishing is the main attraction, the wildlife viewing can be just as memorable. Keep an eye out for whales, sea lions, dolphins, bald eagles, and other marine life that call these waters home.

All you need to bring is a valid fishing license and a sense of adventure.

Captain Todd has spent more than 30 years fishing the waters of Vancouver Island, building a lifetime of knowledge on both the east and west coasts. Fishing has been part of his life from the very beginning.

"My Dad was a commercial Salmon fisherman. I used to tag along at a very young age, so fishing was in my blood early."

Today, Captain Todd shares that passion with guests visiting Ucluelet. He specializes in targeting Chinook Salmon, Halibut, and Lingcod
and takes pride in helping anglers of all experience levels enjoy a successful day on the water. His approach goes beyond simply catching fish. He works hard to create an enjoyable experience for every group that steps aboard.

When conditions allow, you'll often find a crab trap soaking during the trip, giving guests the opportunity to bring home fresh Dungeness Crab along with their fish. It's just one of the many ways Todd and his team go the extra mile.

Alongside fellow captains Ken and Mark, Todd has built a reputation for providing safe, family-friendly charters focused on great fishing, local knowledge, and genuine hospitality. Their goal is simple: treat every guest like a friend and create the kind of experience that keeps anglers returning to Ucluelet year after year.
