About Your Trip

Spend a full day fishing Lake Erie with Captain Bob out of Port Clinton, targeting two of the lake's most popular species: Walleye and Yellow Perch. With 8 hours to fish and room for up to 6 guests, Bob can adjust the day's game plan based on the conditions, time of year, and where the fish have been holding.

When Walleye are the target, you'll typically spend your time trolling productive stretches of Lake Erie. Bob uses a variety of crankbaits, spinners, and nightcrawler harnesses to cover the water column and dial in the depth where the fish are holding. Once the lines are set, keep an eye out for a rod to go off and get ready to take your turn on the reel!

When it's time to chase Yellow Perch, you'll switch things up and focus on schools of fish around promising structure. Bob will typically anchor up and fish vertically using minnows, worms, or other appropriate presentations near the bottom. Once a school is located, everyone in the group can get a line down and get in on the fishing.

Don't worry if you haven't spent much time fishing Lake Erie before. Bob enjoys teaching anglers of all experience levels and will walk you through the gear and techniques throughout the trip. Experienced fishermen are equally welcome, making this a great option for families, groups of friends, and serious anglers looking to spend a full day exploring the Lake Erie fishery.

Your group will fish aboard Bob's Sportcraft, which accommodates up to 6 guests and provides a stable platform for a full day of trolling and perch fishing. Fishing gear is provided, so pack your food and drinks for the day and get ready to experience Walleye and Perch fishing with a captain who has spent decades learning Lake Erie.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
