About Your Trip

Experience Lake Erie's fall Walleye fishery with Captain Shawn on a 4-hour trip out of Cleveland. Shawn has spent his life fishing these waters and uses that experience to adjust each trip to the conditions and where the fish are holding.

Trolling is Shawn's specialty, and you'll use his equipment and techniques to cover productive stretches of Lake Erie in search of Walleye. Depending on the conditions, Shawn can also incorporate techniques like jigging and drift fishing. Anglers of all experience levels are welcome, and Shawn is happy to share what he's learned with anyone looking to improve their skills.

Your ride is a 24' Hewescraft Ocean Pro built in 2022 and powered by a 300 HP Yamaha. This aluminum pilothouse accommodates up to 6 anglers and features an enclosed cabin, Lowrance electronics, fishfinder, GPS, livewell, and a full trolling setup.

All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, and a First Mate will be there to help your group throughout the trip. You can keep your legal catch, and fish cleaning is available for an additional cost.

Bring your Ohio fishing license, food, drinks, sunscreen, and clothing for the day's conditions. Morning, midday, and evening departures are available, giving you several ways to fit a fall Lake Erie Walleye trip into your schedule.

Captain Shawn has been fishing Lake Erie his entire life and started guiding in 2021 to share that experience with anglers of all ages and skill levels. Based in Cleveland, Shawn specializes in Walleye and has developed a particular passion for trolling and the equipment and techniques that go into consistently finding fish on the Great Lakes.

Throughout the Lake Erie season, Shawn runs Walleye trips aboard his fully equipped 24' Hewescraft Ocean Pro. Each year, he also heads to Olcott, New York for the late-summer Lake Ontario Salmon fishery, giving his anglers the chance to chase Chinook, Coho, Steelhead, and other Great Lakes species.

Whether you're fishing for the first time or chasing a new personal best, Shawn puts safety and comfort first and enjoys sharing the knowledge he's gained from a lifetime of Great Lakes fishing.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
